Why I love Shea Butter

Shea Butter is definitely a STAPLE of my life. I am a natural product enthusiast so I try to use it as much as possible. I first started using it on my skin. I have had eczema my entire life. I remember being very young and my mother using Shea butter, cocoa butter, and almond butter to help my itchy dry skin. I don't know, I wasn't too interested in natural and holistic remedies, especially since my mom was a nurse. But after trying medicated creams and lotions and soaps that stung, burned and irritated my skin, we went back to the natural route. As I got older I got away from that again and started using cosmetic cleansers and soaps and things with tons of chemicals and fragrances in them. I got older, and my skin changed, but my eczema remained the same. Once I got pregnant, that's when my body went absolutely haywire. I didn't have issues with acne like i had heard about other people. My skin was very oily before pregnancy but during my pregnancy my skin became really dry, it felt like the texture of my skin was rough, and i don't think i had that "pregnancy glow"that they always talk about with pregnancy. A few allergic reactions and I realize that my skin was SCREAMING for chemical free, natural products. So once i got my Shea butter, jbco, and coconut oil, i was set. My skin went back to normal and It felt great. So ever since then, I use Shea butter and coconut oil on my skin. But after reading a bit online about Shea Butter, I had one of those 'aha' moments and realized how great Shea butter could be on my hair. So now I always use it. My skin has never been more soft! It feels comparable to my sons skin! but my hair feels soft as well. I can FEEL the moisture in it, but its not greasy. my hair loves Shea butter so much! The only problem that I really have is that I am not 100% consistent with it. There are days that I don't use it. I sometimes use a different oil or cream. I have started reminding myself to use it more consistently and more often, in the hopes of it clearing up some of the scars and uneven skin that I have. I always have people telling me how Shea Butter can fix discoloration and scars, but I have not used it for that reason. But I am definitely open to help with my skin. I cant use anything else because I'm pregnant, but if this works, I don't think I would ever use anything else. Shea Butter is just one of many staples in my house. What are your staple natural products?
