Movie Mondays: Immortals

This week's Movie Monday post is about the movie Immortals:

I was looking forward to this movie for a long time. I love period pieces and the ancient greek and ancient roman time are some of my favorites. I love movies that incorporate gods and dieties! And the fact that it was produced by the same people who produced 300, I just knew that it was going to be amazing. After watching the movie, however, I was let down. Don't get me wrong, the movie didn't suck, but it was missing something. It was missing a lot it felt like. It seemed like there wasn't enough in the story line. Maybe it was the way it was executed, I dont know. I did love how the gods were visualized. They were bright, gold and definitely stood apart from the rest of the senery. My biggest complaint was that there were not enough of the gods shown. The few gods they did show looked amazing but it would have been great to see more of them and their abilities. Oh and their costumes should have been more personalized to their specific identity. The only one that I could identify right off the bat was Poseidon and that was only because he was holding his Trident.

I really expected a lot more from this movie. I don't know if there will be another one, but hopefully if they do decide to make another one, they will make a more complex story line and include more gods!!!!
