Plastic City Comicon

Plastic City Comic Con | Evon Von Blog

This weekend I had the opportunity to visit a local convention, Plastic City Comic Con. It was a cozy little convention in the city of Leominster Massachusetts. Other than the Convention I went to in Worcester (and the library con I attended) this was semi-close to me. I only had to drive 30 minutes which was nice. Originally I was planning on wearing my Lady Deadpool costume, but I ended up debuting my Baroness cosplay instead. I received a lot of compliments on my costume, and that made me feel great. I put a LOT of work into this costume, and to have people tell me that it looked great was a huge boost to my confidence as far as cosplay is concerned.

I was able to get photos with only a few other cosplayers, but there were so many others that I didn't catch. The next convention I go to I will be on the hunt for pictures with as many cosplayers as I can. I really should have taken more pictures in general. There were a TON of comic book vendors. like, a TON. So many that I didn't even get to see them all. One thing I know for sure is that I need to practice my posing. In all of the photos of me, I look very stiff. I know I wanted to seem 'hard' and strong as Baroness but I think I missed the mark. Oh well, you live and learn and fix it. I will definitely practice my posing before Boston Comicon rolls around in two weeks, that's for sure!

I really hope that the decided to hold another convention. For a first time, it was decent. Although there is always room for improvement, it was a nice time and I could only imagine how awesome it would be in years to come!

lotsa love to ya!
